Dr. Naveen Kanda offers more than a decade of experience and expertise in radiation oncology. His specialized areas of competency and interest include IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SRT, SBRT, 3DCRT and Brachytherapy. He is known for his able hands in external beam radiotherapy planning including Cobalt 60, Linear Accelerator and Electrons. In the area of HDR Brachytherapy, he is known for intracavitry radiotherapy for cervix and uterus, intraluminal and endobronchial for esophagus and lung and interstitial implant for breast, anal canal and head and neck region. His IMRT expertise lies in head and neck, and prostate cancer, while he does IGRT for prostate cancer using gold seed implants and EPID.

 

Dr. Naveen completed his MBBS from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur and went on to complete his MD (Radiotherapy) from the Department of Radiotherapy, GMC Bhopal. He has attended tomotherapy clinical training for head and neck cancer at Madison Wisconsin in the US.

 

Prior to his association with Cancer Centers of America, Dr. Naveen was associated with Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital, Bhopal; Jabalpur Hospital and Metro Cancer Hospital; Birla Hospital and Priyamvada Cancer Centre, Satna; CBCC International Oncology Centre, Raipur; and MD Oswal Cancer Centre, Ludhiana.
