Dr. Sunil Kumar is a specialist in nuclear medicine with particular interest in the field of PET/CT and radionuclide therapy. He is also renowned for his expertise in cancer diagnosis and staging, and the evaluation of the effect of cancer treatment. He is competent in the assessment and evaluation of patients referred for various investigations and in the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals, acquisition of scans, processing, interpretation and reporting.

 

He is equally experienced in interpretation of dynamic renal scintigraphy, renal cortical scintigraphy, DRCG, skeletal scintigraphy, hepatobiliary scintigraphy, brain perfusion scintigraphy, thyroid and parathyroid imaging, RBC scan, liver and spleen imaging, lymphoscintigraphy, gastric emptying, gastroesophageal reflux scintigraphy and testicular scintigraphy by using 99mTc based radiopharmaceuticals.

 

Dr. Sunil completed his MBBS from Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla, and went on to obtain his MD (Nuclear Medicine) from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.

 

Prior to his association with Cancer Centers of America, Dr. Sunil was associated with IGMC Shimla; Department of Health and Family welfare, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh; PGIMER, Chandigarh; Nuclear Medicine Center, IGMC Shimla; and Superb MRI & CT Center, Chandigarh. He has presented in several seminars and clinical meetings.
